Nokia N9 passes through FCC, shows GSM and WCDMA bands compatibility

Almost it was confirmed that Nokia won’t be releasing MeeGo based Nokia N9 Smartphone but according to the latest report from pocketnow, Nokia N9 has passed through Federal Communications Commission (FCC) testing. The FCC filing does not reveal too much about this device but it says that Nokia N9 will be compatible with a large number of GSM and WCDMA bands in addition with Bluetooth and 2.4GHz 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi.

Previously it was last December when we heard about the N9 and Nokia promised to launch at least one MeeGo device by the end of this year. But after the recent Nokia and Microsoft partnership it was assumed that Nokia won’t release MeeGo device. Now after this FCC filing it is cleared that there’s still life in this device and it would be making up to market by this year.

Specifications of Nokia N9
As a quick refresher, the Nokia N9 is said to feature a 4-inch 800×480 OLED display, a sliding physical QWERTY keyboard, a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, 512MB RAM, 64GB of internal memory, and it will have the capability of 720p HD video capture. Stay tuned and we will let you know in a while.
