Nimbuzz upgraded to 3.01 for Symbian devices

Nokia Symbian devices get the latest installment of the Nimbuzz messenger with enhanced VOIP call quality and more space to chat.

Nimbuzz, a cross platform instant messaging client for Symbian Series 60 ^3 devices, has been updated to version 3.01 from the current 3.0. The new version of the application, which brings a couple of new features and changes, will continue to be available for S40 devices.
The new Nimbuzz 3.01 brings the much needed call quality indicator, which will tell the caller about the call quality available basing upon the network load. With direct peer to peer connectivity, users will get improved call quality as compared to the earlier version.
A new 'messenger' feature in the updated app makes better use of the available space, giving users the option to chat in full screen mode. The users can now also choose the chat background, their avatar and the chat text colours according to their need.

Video and Voice Chat on Your Android Phone

Google has confirmed Google Talk with video and voice chat for Android phones.

You can video or voice chat with your friends, family and colleagues right from your Android phone, whether they're on their compatible Android tablet or phone, or using Gmail with Google Talk on their computer. You can make calls over 3G or over Wi-Fi connectivity.

In your Google Talk friends list, a video or voice chat button will appear next to your contacts and you can simply touch the button to connect with them. Any text chats from the person you're talking with will be overlaid on your phone's screen so you can read them without having to leave the video.

And, if you need to check something else, the video pauses automatically so you can go back to your phone's home screen or another app. The audio will keep going even though the video has paused.

Google Talk with video and voice chat will gradually roll out to Nexus S devices in the next few weeks as part of the Android 2.3.4 over-the-air update and will launch on other Android 2.3+ devices in the future.

Mig33 launches official app for Android

Mig33 launches the full version Mig33 v2.0 application for Android smartphones.

Mig33, a popular social networking and cross platform chat client, has announced the launch of its first ever application for Android based devices.

Earlier, the application had a limited functionality beta version on the Android store. Based on the feedback received by the users Mig33 has released the new application, which is now called the mig33 V2.0.

It is a mobile internet based cross platform chat community, available across the globe. The idea behind the launch of mig33 was to reduce the cost of making calls and messaging while keeping in touch with your near and dear ones. Mig33 uses mobile internet to transmit data to other devices running the same application free of cost or at a marginal cost to devices which do not have this application.

The new mig33 v2.0 application has a list of upgrades over its predecessor. Firstly, the whole interface of the application has been tweaked for faster performance along with that the user interface has been simplified as requested by the users of the beta application.
