iBUZZ Mobiles has announced a new mobile phone, i4242 Video BUZZ, which will be available in India from June this year for Rs 2,999.

The i4242 is equipped with a 1500mAh battery, sound speaker with 20*30mm audio amplifier, opera mini browser, stereo Bluetooth, privacy protection, 1.3 MP camera, and auto call recording feature. It supports MP3/MP4 and 3GP at 30 frames per second.

It comes with a 2.2 inch screen that produces images at 176 x 144 pixels and is capable of displaying 262K colours.

For people on the move, the i4242 (Video BUZZ) offers various exceptional features including mobile tracking facility. This phone not only has wireless telescopic FM but also offers schedule FM recording for song lovers which enable them to record their favorite songs while playing live on FM.

Micromax launches the Bling-2

In a move to win the hearts of fashion-savvy women mobile users, Indian handset maker Micromax has launched Bling 2, a successor to Bling Q55.

No more new apps for Windows Mobile 6.5

Windows Mobile Marketplace will not get any new apps after July 15, though users will still be able to download existing apps. The Marketplace is likely to be closed by October this year.

The Windows Mobile 6.5 Marketplace, launched in November 2009, will not have any new apps after July 15, when the app store will not accept submissions from developers.

The reasons behind the demise of this application market are obvious. First, Microsoft wants to focus on its new OS, Windows Phone 7; and second, the platform is not popular. It had only 7,000 applications at its peak. (Compare that number to the 1 lakh plus apps that Android has.)

Dr Sang-Woo Kim, who has been developing the design at the Institute of Nanotechnology at Sungkyunkwan University in Seoul, said: "Sound power can be used for various novel applications including cellular phones that can be charged during conversations and sound-insulating walls near highways that generate electricity from the sound of passing vehicles."
