Nokia's next MeeGo device N9 revealed

A teaser video on Youtube revealed the nitty-gritty of Nokia's next MeeGo based device, to be named as N9, which will be the successor of Nokia's N900.

Nokia could soon come out with yet another MeeGo device and it may be named as N9.

A purported video of the device was uploaded on the Youtube. However, the video was removed immediately by Nokia claiming copyright issues.

Notably, the Finnish handset maker had, during the Nokia 2011 Developer Forum earlier this year, announced that it would come out with another MeeGo based device soon.

HTC Chacha, Salsa FB phones get June 26 shipping date on Amazon

Amazon UK today started taking preorders for HTC’s Chacha and Salsa Android phones, which come with dedicated Facebook Button. Seller has listed a June 26 delivery date for both the devices.

Made for Facebook junkies, these smartphones were announced at Mobile World Congress earlier this year. While Chacha sports a portrait QWERTY keyboard, Salsa will have full touchscreen display.

Amazon UK has priced HTC Salsa at GBP 320 [INR 23,385], while Chacha is being sold for GBP 250 [INR 18,270].

BlackBerry in a hurry to re-establish itself

The BlackBerry's problems have been obscured by sales figures so far. But with the iOS and Android onslaught, it needs apps fast.

The shift towards the perception that BlackBerry makers Research In Motion are in trouble due to the onslaught of Android and iOS phones is natural, but premature. Only some time ago, BlackBerry made a serious effort to take younger users into its fold as well, and the campaign seems to have hit it off in the UK, in India, South Africa and in some other countries (that don't include the USA).

In these countries, the new trend started with younger people getting their BlackBerrys through their seniors or parents who were buying new devices and handed their old BlackBerrys to the kids.
